Nike SB approached us looking for a unique way to celebrate the launch of their first collab shoe with Los Angeles based skateboard brand WKND. Our primary goal was to celebrate the unique partnership while driving energy across the LA market and throughout North America at select retailers.

Leading up to the summer launch, Nike SB and WKND rolled out a series of digital stories creating online buzz and conversation around the shoe. The WKND team also rolled out exclusive content from a Spring Training inspired skate trip to Hawaii wearing the yet to be released co-branded Blazer Mid.

The energy continued with 60 select retailers, media partners and influencers receiving premium Nike SB x WKND Blazer seeding kits driving added awareness and conversation around the campaign prior to launch.

Just before the shoes hit retail, we hosted a Nike SB verse WKND skateboards baseball game under the lights of downtown LA. Legendary pros, friends and retail partners gathered to celebrate the launch while going head to head in a summer classic. Throughout the evening live Instagram stories were captured and shared across both @NikeSB and @W_K_N_D channels and the exclusive recap video was hosted on Thrasher Magazines site. 

Born from the neighborhood sandlot, the launch of this clean co-branded Blazer Mid was certainly a huge home run.
